Tiger Dies in Andhra Pradesh Forests; Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan Orders Probe

Markapuram: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Forest Minister Pawan Kalyan has ordered a detailed inquiry into the suspicious death of a tiger in the Racharla Beat area of Giddaluru Division in Markapuram district.

The Deputy Chief Minister directed forest officials to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tiger’s death and determine whether it was due to natural causes or any illegal activity by poachers.

Pawan Kalyan instructed officials to conduct a postmortem examination strictly in accordance with wildlife protection laws. He also ordered forensic tests to be carried out to identify any evidence that could help establish the exact cause of death.

The Forest Department has been asked to examine the site and collect all necessary evidence as part of the investigation. Officials are also expected to verify whether the tiger had suffered any injuries, poisoning or other factors that could indicate human involvement.

The Deputy Chief Minister stressed the need for a thorough and transparent investigation, particularly given the importance of protecting the state’s tiger population and preventing wildlife crimes.

Authorities will determine the next course of action based on the findings of the postmortem, forensic examination and field investigation. If evidence of poaching or other illegal activity is found, strict action will be taken against those responsible.
