A heartbreaking incident has shocked Telangana after a six-year-old UKG student died in a tragic accident at a private school in Khammam district. The incident occurred at a school in Nayakangudem village, Kusumanchi Mandal, raising serious concerns over school safety and supervision of young children.

The child, identified as Vihar, lost his life after a pencil he was holding accidentally pierced his throat while he was returning from the toilet during school hours.

How the Accident Happened

According to preliminary information, the incident took place at around 3 pm on Wednesday during the afternoon break.

What happened:

  • The child went to the toilet during the break
  • While returning to the classroom, he slipped and fell
  • The pencil in his hand entered his throat
  • He started bleeding heavily and was critically injured

Teachers and school staff rushed to help immediately after the accident.

Child Dies While Being Taken to Hospital

The school staff shifted the injured child to a hospital in Khammam using a 108 ambulance. However, despite prompt efforts, Vihar died on the way to the hospital.

Doctors later stated that the pencil had entered the trachea, caused severe internal bleeding and breathed obstruction, which proved fatal.

Police Register Case, Probe Underway

Following the incident, local police registered a case of accidental death and launched an investigation.

Police are examining:

  • Whether there was any negligence by school authorities
  • If proper safety measures and supervision were in place
  • Compliance with school safety guidelines for young children

Further action will be taken based on the outcome of the investigation.
