Hyderabad: Unseasonal rains across several districts of Telangana over the past two days have added to the woes of farmers, as sudden weather changes brought showers accompanied by strong winds.
According to the Meteorological Department, moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds is likely across the state. Weather experts have also warned of possible hailstorms in certain areas and advised farmers and the general public to remain cautious.
Officials stated that districts under Zone 1 — including Medak, Siddipet, Kamareddy, Vikarabad, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Sangareddy, Nizamabad, Sircilla, Jagtial, Mancherial, and Kumuram Bheem Asifabad — are expected to receive rainfall.

Similarly, under Zone 2, districts such as Rangareddy, Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Suryapet, Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudem, and Mahabubabad are also likely to experience showers.
Agricultural authorities have warned that standing crops ready for harvest are at high risk of damage due to the sudden rains and potential hailstorms. Farmers have been advised to immediately shift harvested produce and grains to safer locations to prevent losses.
