Will Hyderabad Police Cancel Meridian Hotel’s License?

It is widely known that the police and hotel management have a close relationship, allegedly due to corruption. Police have been accused of going to great lengths to help the hotel management.

Hyderabad: The public is questioning whether Hyderabad police are trying to protect the management of the Meridian Hotel in Panjagutta. The father of the deceased, Liaqat, alleges that 20 people beat his son to death, but police have only arrested four people in the case.

It is widely known that the police and hotel management have a close relationship, allegedly due to corruption. Police have been accused of going to great lengths to help the hotel management.

According to sources, police have arrested waiter Prakash, resident of Bihar, M. Pandu, resident of Babu Nagar, hotel manager Syed Aftab, resident of Charminar, and Mohammad Azizuddin, resident of Sanath Nagar, in connection with Liaqat’s murder. The remaining suspects have been released, which has led to public doubts about the police investigation.

The question now is whether Liaqat’s father is lying or whether the police are not conducting a thorough investigation. The most important question is whether city police commissioner CV Anand will allow the hotel to reopen or order the cancellation of its license.

Police have temporarily closed the hotel. It is worth noting that in 2001, a murder occurred at a hotel in front of the agarbati factory, Purani Haveli. Two rowdy sheeters brutally slit the throat of Javed, a resident of Purani Haveli.

Another murder occurred at the Falcon Hotel in Balsetty khet. Rana was killed by a young man named Qamar. The hotel was subsequently closed.

At that time, Assistant Commissioner of Police Mirchowk Sahib Peeran was in charge of the area. He had ordered the closure of the hotel. So, will the Meridian Hotel be reopened after Liaqat’s murder? According to police records, the Falcon Hotel was not allowed to reopen. The hotel was eventually shut down.

This raises questions about the credibility of the police. Currently, the police are focused on hotels and pan shops in the city. Hotels are open late at night. Police are conducting Chabutra Mission and checks at hotels. In this environment, the public is waiting for the decision of the police commissioner.
