Hyderabad: Yavuputra Tigers secured a thrilling 6–5 victory over Elegans Eagles in a closely contested match at the FNCC – Pullela Gopichand Badminton League 2026, held at the Film Nagar Cultural Center on April 11.
The encounter featured intense action across men’s singles, women’s singles, and doubles categories, with both teams putting up strong performances.
In the men’s singles, Elegans Eagles’ Pranit edged past Shourya in straight games. Yavuputra Tigers responded with Lokesh Reddy defeating Pranav Ram in a nail-biting three-set match. Tazuwala of Elegans Eagles then overcame Tharun comfortably, while Linesh brought the Tigers back on track with a convincing win over Chinmay.
The women’s singles matches were equally competitive. Avani gave Yavuputra Tigers a strong start by defeating Aaryama, while Shresta staged a comeback victory against Disha Santosh after losing the first game. However, Elegans Eagles fought back through Shreyanshi, who beat Navya, and Kanvika, who secured a win over Aaradhya.
