17-Year-Old Boy Beaten to Death by Unknown Assailants in Hyderabad’s Old City

Hyderabad: A 17-year-old boy was brutally beaten to death by unidentified assailants in the Kalapathar area of Hyderabad’s Old City during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, police said.
The victim, identified as Mohammed Faiz alias Azaan, was a resident of Kalapathar and lived with his family.
According to the preliminary investigation, Faiz received a phone call from a group of unidentified persons shortly after midnight and left his house to meet them. Police said the attackers were allegedly waiting for him in the Shah Tekri area, where they assaulted him with sticks.
The teenager sustained severe head injuries in the attack and died on the spot before he could receive medical assistance.

After receiving information about the incident, Kalapathar Police rushed to the scene, took the body into custody, and shifted it to Osmania General Hospital for a post-mortem examination. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
Police officials said the motive behind the murder is yet to be established. Special teams have been formed to identify and arrest the accused. Investigators are examining CCTV footage from the crime scene and nearby areas while collecting additional evidence.
Police assured that the case is being investigated from all possible angles and expressed confidence that the suspects would be arrested soon.
