Hyderabad: Despite the growing threat of cyber crimes, Telangana Police have achieved significant success in combating online fraud and protecting citizens from financial losses during 2025. Director General of Police (DGP) C.V. Anand stated that cyber crime has emerged as one of the biggest challenges for law enforcement agencies and warned that failure to address it effectively could lead to serious consequences.
Reviewing the performance of the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB), the DGP assessed measures taken to prevent cyber crimes, adopt advanced technologies, and provide quick assistance to victims. During the review, he was also shown a demonstration of an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered cyber call centre designed to streamline complaint handling and improve response times.
The AI-enabled system collects essential information from victims immediately after a complaint is lodged and instantly forwards the details to the concerned police station, enabling prompt action against cyber fraudsters.
