A major HYDRAA operation in Miyapur, Hyderabad, has led to the protection of government land worth over ₹3,000 crore, sending a strong message against land encroachments. Acting on complaints and fresh verification, HYDRAA carried out a large-scale action in Miyapur village, Maktha Mahabubpet, under Serilingampally mandal in Rangareddy district.

Over 15 Acres of Government Land Protected in Survey No. 44
During the operation, HYDRAA safeguarded more than 15 acres of government land located in Survey No. 44. Officials confirmed that this land was facing continuous encroachment attempts using fake and forged documents.
Earlier complaints had been received through HYDRAA Prajavani, alerting authorities about illegal occupation of government land in the same survey number.
Action Taken on Commissioner’s Orders
Following the directions of A V Ranganath, HYDRAA had earlier taken possession of 5 acres in the same area. The latest operation is part of continued enforcement to fully secure the remaining government land.
Illegal Structures Removed Near Main Road and Lake Bund
HYDRAA had previously removed 18 illegal sheds spread across 200 meters on the lake bund parallel to the Miyapur–Bachupally main road. These structures were found to be encroaching on government land and posing environmental risks.
Fresh Probe After Illegal Registrations Come to Light
Following reports of illegal registrations related to government land in Survey No. 44 and news regarding the suspension of the concerned sub-registrar, HYDRAA launched a fresh investigation.
The probe confirmed attempts to grab up to 43 acres of government land using fabricated documents.
Case Registered Against Accused
HYDRAA officials revealed that an individual named Imran had allegedly encroached upon nearly 1.5 acres of government land in Survey No. 44 by misusing land documents of Survey No. 159. A case has already been registered against him.
Fencing and Warning Boards Installed
To prevent further encroachments, HYDRAA has:
- Installed fencing around the recovered government land
- Erected HYDRAA boards clearly marking the area as government property
