Arrive Alive Road Safety Programme Held at G. Pulla Reddy College, 120 Students Take Safety Pledge

Arrive Alive Road Safety Programme was held at G. Pulla Reddy College, Mehdipatnam, where 120 students learned about traffic rules, defensive driving, and took a road safety pledge.

As part of efforts to promote safe driving habits among youth, the Arrive Alive – Road Safety Programme was successfully conducted on January 21, 2026, at the Seminar Hall of G. Pulla Reddy College, Mehdipatnam, Hyderabad. The awareness programme was held from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM and witnessed active participation from students.

Around 120 students attended the programme, which focused on spreading awareness about road safety, responsible driving, and traffic discipline among college-going youth.

Focus on Mission Arrive Alive and Traffic Safety

During the session, officials explained the objectives of Mission Arrive Alive through projector presentations and official awareness videos. Students were educated about common and dangerous traffic violations, with special emphasis on:

  • Helmet and seatbelt usage
  • Avoiding mobile phone use while driving
  • Pedestrian safety
  • Racing and rash driving
  • Disciplined riding while commuting to and from college

Defensive Driving Explained in Detail

The programme was conducted in the presence of Able-V Smt. D. Dhana Laxmi, who addressed the students and explained the importance of Defensive Driving. Using a detailed PowerPoint presentation, she explained safety concepts slide by slide, helping students clearly understand how responsible driving can save lives.

Road Safety Pledge Taken by Students

At the conclusion of the programme, all students were administered the Road Safety Pledge, committing themselves to:

  • Obey traffic rules
  • Follow safe driving practices
  • Contribute to safer roads in Hyderabad
