Hyderabad Road Safety Drive: CP V.C. Sajjanar Leads ‘Arrive Alive’ Program, Helmets Distributed to Children

Hyderabad Arrive Alive program: CP V.C. Sajjanar distributes helmets to children, leads road safety awareness drive at Banjara Hills and TGICSCC Auditorium.

As part of the ‘Arrive Alive’ road safety program under Praja Palana – Pragati Pranalika, V.C. Sajjanar led multiple awareness initiatives across the city, including helmet distribution to children at Banjara Hills Agrasen Circle junction and a major road safety session in Khairatabad.

On the occasion of Children’s Road Safety Day, helmets were distributed to children, and drivers were educated that children above 4 years must wear helmets while traveling on two-wheelers.

The Hyderabad traffic police road safety drive focused on protecting young passengers:

  • Helmets distributed to children at Agrasen Circle, Banjara Hills
  • Awareness created among vehicle drivers and parents

Road Safety Awareness Meeting at TGICSCC Auditorium

A large-scale awareness session was conducted at the TGICSCC Auditorium with participation from:

  • Around 400 Road Safety Committee members
  • Representatives from 10 traffic police stations in Khairatabad zone

V.C. Sajjanar attended as the chief guest and shared key suggestions on improving road safety.

Key Messages by Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar

The Commissioner stressed the importance of public participation in making Hyderabad accident-free:

  • Road safety is a shared responsibility of society
  • Families suffer greatly when accidents occur
  • Drivers must follow rules as a moral responsibility

He also urged:

  • Installation of “No Helmet – No Entry” boards in colonies and apartments
  • Reporting local traffic issues via WhatsApp groups for quick resolution
  • Helping accident victims under the ‘Rah Veer’ scheme, which offers rewards and legal protection

Officials Highlight Dangers of Negligent Driving

D. Joel Davis emphasized that road safety is not just the police’s duty but a social responsibility.

He warned against:

  • Drunk driving
  • Using mobile phones while driving

Avinash Kumar conducted a PowerPoint presentation on Defensive Driving and administered a pledge to follow safety rules.
