Kaleshwaram case: MP Chamala says Telangana High Court gave no clean chit to BRS. Demands CBI probe into Medigadda barrage issue and project irregularities.

In a strong reaction to the Kaleshwaram case, Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, Member of Parliament from Bhongir, said that the Telangana High Court has not given any clean chit to BRS leaders, despite celebrations by the party following the recent court order.

Speaking at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad, the MP questioned the basis of celebrations and said the court has not rejected the findings of the commission report.

No Clean Chit in Kaleshwaram Case, Says MP Chamala

Reacting to the Telangana High Court order in the Kaleshwaram project case, Chamala said:

  • The court did not dismiss the findings of the Justice PC Ghose Commission
  • Therefore, claims of a “clean chit” are misleading
  • BRS leaders celebrating the verdict is unjustified

Medigadda Barrage Issue Highlighted in Reports

The MP pointed out that both the commission and the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA) identified serious lapses in the Medigadda barrage pillar sinking issue.

  • The reports mention negligence by officials and the then government
  • Concerns were raised over structural safety and execution

Demand for CBI Probe in Kaleshwaram Project

Chamala stated that the state government has not yet sought a CBI inquiry based on the findings. He urged authorities to take action:

  • Immediate CBI probe into Kaleshwaram project irregularities
  • Accountability for those responsible

Questions to BJP Leaders Over Kaleshwaram Issue

The MP also questioned G Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, asking whether they agree with the NDSA findings or support giving a clean chit to BRS.

Allegations on Financial Impact and Political Response

Chamala alleged that the Kaleshwaram project affected Telangana’s financial condition. He also took a dig at T Harish Rao, questioning whether any lobbying was done in Delhi regarding the case.

Final Stand on Kaleshwaram Case

The MP concluded that the truth behind the Kaleshwaram project will be revealed, and said the state government will decide its next legal course after receiving the High Court order copy.
