Hyderabad: In a major infrastructure push, Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has approved ₹148 crore for construction of approach roads across the state. The decision was taken to make several bridges functional that have remained unused due to lack of connectivity.

The announcement was made during the Infrastructure and Capital Works Cabinet Sub-Committee meeting held at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat under his chairmanship.

The approach roads construction in Telangana received a major boost as the sub-committee cleared funds to address long-pending connectivity issues.

Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka directed officials to:

  • Immediately begin construction of approach roads
  • Prioritize bridges built nearly 3 years ago but still unused
  • Ensure proper planning and quick execution

He stressed that delays in building connecting roads had rendered several bridges ineffective, impacting public convenience.

Officials reviewed pending works and discussed strategies for faster approvals and implementation.

Deadline Before Monsoon for Approach Roads Work

Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy directed officials to complete the approach roads construction before June 8, keeping the monsoon season in mind.

He also announced:

  • Weekly progress reviews
  • Close monitoring of tendering, execution, and quality standards
  • Strict timelines to avoid further delays

Faster Approvals with New Proposal System

Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka instructed officials to submit proposals in a structured format to speed up approvals.

  • Proposals must be sent to the Finance Department in a 1:4 ratio
  • The sub-committee will review and clear them quickly
  • Focus on efficient execution and accountability
