Centre Urges States to Improve Public Services Through Simple E-Governance, Telangana Highlights Digital Initiatives
Cabinet Secretary T.V. Somanathan asked states to improve public services through simple e-governance while Telangana showcased its digital governance initiatives.

T.V. Somanathan directed Chief Secretaries of various states to work towards providing better public services through simple e-governance systems implemented by both the Central and State governments.

During a video conference held on Monday, the Cabinet Secretary advised states to study and adopt the “simplegov” e-governance model being followed by the Tamil Nadu government, in accordance with their respective state regulations, to provide simpler and improved government services to citizens.
Telangana Explains Its E-Governance Model
During the meeting, K. Ramakrishna Rao explained the e-governance initiatives being implemented by the Telangana government.
He stated that the state is providing transparent and simplified citizen services and continuously updating information through online dashboards department-wise.
The Telangana government also detailed the services being offered through e-governance in departments including:
- Municipal Administration
- Industries
- Education
- Energy
- Revenue
Cabinet Secretary Appreciates Telangana’s E-Governance System
Cabinet Secretary T.V. Somanathan appreciated Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao for Telangana’s implementation of e-governance systems.
Ramakrishna Rao stated that Telangana would also study the model being followed by the Tamil Nadu government and make suitable changes in e-governance systems to ensure that people do not face financial burdens or other difficulties while accessing government services.
