Attapur Kidnapping Case Takes Twist: Woman Found Safe at Home, DCP Srinivas Says Friends Took Her Along

Hyderabad: In a major twist in the alleged Attapur kidnapping case, police found that the young woman was safe at her residence and had not been kidnapped. Police traced the woman through a PhonePe transaction made at Ratnadeep Super Market in Attapur limits before the alleged kidnapping incident. Rajendranagar Zone DCP Srinivas stated that the people who took the woman were her friends and confirmed that no kidnapping had taken place. Investigation in the case is ongoing.

Police Trace Woman Through PhonePe Transaction

According to police, before the alleged kidnapping incident, the woman had purchased items using PhonePe at Ratnadeep Super Market under Attapur limits.

Police identified the PhonePe number used during the transaction and confirmed that the young woman was a resident of Malakpet.

Using the phone number, police traced the woman and found her safe at her residence.

Woman Found Safe at Home

Police officials stated that the woman was located safely at her house after tracking the mobile number linked to the PhonePe transaction.

The development came after reports of an alleged kidnapping in Attapur created concern earlier.

Statement Being Recorded at Rajendranagar Zone DCP Office

Police called the woman to the Rajendranagar Zone DCP Office for questioning and recording her statement.

Officials said further inquiry into the incident is continuing.

DCP Srinivas Says No Kidnapping Took Place

Rajendranagar Zone DCP Srinivas clarified that the woman was not kidnapped.

According to DCP Srinivas, the persons who took the woman along were her friends.

He told media representatives that the investigation is underway and more details would be shared soon.
