Hyderabad Court Sentences Youth to 5 Days Jail for Misbehaving with Woman in Malakpet

Hyderabad: A court in Hyderabad sentenced a 24-year-old man to five days of imprisonment for allegedly misbehaving with a woman, abusing her, and creating a public nuisance within the limits of Malakpet Police Station. The accused, identified as N. Sudheer Kumar, was found guilty by the Hon’ble 7th Special Judicial Magistrate on May 26, 2026, after a case registered by Malakpet Police under Section 70-C of the City Police Act.

Accused Identified as N. Sudheer Kumar

According to the press note issued on 26.05.2026, the respondent was identified as N. Sudheer Kumar (Age: 24 years), S/o Prasad, a resident of Shalivahan Nagar, Musarambhag, Hyderabad.

Police stated that the accused was caught creating a public nuisance, abusing, and misbehaving with a woman within the jurisdiction of Malakpet Police Station.

E-Petty Case Registered Under Section 70-C of CP Act

Taking strict action in the matter, Malakpet Police registered an E-Petty Case vide No. 743/2026 (STC No. 3275/2026) under Section 70-C of the City Police Act (CP Act).

The case was investigated by Sri M. Tejya Naik (SI), while Court Duty Officer (CDO) RamSantosh (PC 5678) pursued the matter before the court.

Hyderabad Court Awards 5 Days Jail

Police produced the accused before the Hon’ble 7th Special Judicial Magistrate, Sri M. Bhaskar, on 26.05.2026.

After reviewing the evidence presented by Malakpet Police, the Hon’ble Magistrate found the respondent guilty of the offence and sentenced him to 05 days of jail.

SHO Malakpet Warns Against Harassment of Women

Station House Officer of Malakpet Police Station, Sri K. Narasimha, stated that the police maintain a zero-tolerance policy against any form of misbehavior or harassment toward women.

He emphasized that strict legal and criminal action would be initiated against anyone attempting to disturb public peace or safety.
