HYDERABAD: Food Safety teams conducted inspections at Cinepolis, located inside Lulu Mall, Kukatpally, and identified several hygiene and food storage issues during the inspection.

Officials found uncovered dustbins, cooked pasta stored in a freezer, improperly sealed opened frozen food products, and areas requiring improved cleanliness at the cola dispensing counter. Following the inspection, authorities issued instructions to the management to improve food storage practices. Cinepolis received a 94 percent hygiene score in the assessment.

Uncovered Dustbins and Frozen Cooked Pasta Found During Inspection

During the inspection, Food Safety officials identified:

  • Dustbins without lids.
  • Cooked pasta stored inside a freezer.

Officials immediately removed the cooked pasta that had been stored in the freezer.

The observations were made as part of the routine food safety and hygiene assessment conducted at the facility.

Food Storage Practices Need Improvement

The inspection team also found that opened frozen food products were being stored without being properly sealed.

Despite the deficiencies identified during the inspection, Cinepolis received a 94 percent hygiene score in the hygiene assessment conducted by the Food Safety team.

The observations and recommendations were communicated to the management for compliance and improvement.
