According to Reuters, if the current situation persists and domestic refinery output fails to recover, Russia may turn to India to import petrol in order to meet its domestic demand.
Although Russia is one of the world’s largest crude oil producers, the attacks on its refining infrastructure have affected its ability to process fuel for local consumption. However, Russian authorities have not yet made any official announcement regarding the reported plans to import petrol from India.
