Strong Winds Likely in Telangana Over Next Three Days, Says IMD

Hyderabad, July 12: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast strong surface winds across various parts of Telangana over the next three days, with wind speeds likely to range between 40 and 50 kilometres per hour.
In its daily weather bulletin issued on Sunday, the department said that several areas of the state are also expected to receive light to moderate rainfall or thundershowers at isolated places during the next seven days.

According to the report, the southwest monsoon remains weak over Telangana at present, resulting in reduced rainfall activity across the state.
During the last 24 hours, rainfall was recorded at one or two places in Telangana, the weather department said.
The IMD has advised residents, particularly those in vulnerable areas, to remain cautious during periods of strong winds and thunderstorms and to follow weather advisories issued by local authorities.
