Shabad POCSO Case Accused Raj Kumar Dies by Suicide; Family Refuses to Claim Body

Hyderabad: Raj Kumar, the accused in the sensational Shabad POCSO case and allegedly linked to six murders, died by suicide after jumping into a well near Panjara village in Kothur Mandal of Rangareddy district.

According to police sources, Raj Kumar’s body was recovered from the well and shifted for post-mortem examination, which was completed on Tuesday. The accused had been facing serious charges in connection with multiple murder cases, including the high-profile Shabad case that had shocked Telangana.

In a significant development, Raj Kumar’s family members reportedly refused to claim his body. Family members submitted a written statement to the police stating that they had severed all ties with him and did not wish to take custody of his remains.

Following the family’s refusal, police officials have initiated arrangements to conduct the last rites of Raj Kumar at Chevella in accordance with legal procedures.
