Telangana Assembly session to begin on September 7

The session is likely to focus on major state issues, government schemes, development programmes, welfare measures, financial matters and matters raised by the Opposition

Hyderabad : The Telangana Legislative Assembly is expected to begin its next session on September 7, 2026, with the ruling Congress government and opposition parties preparing for key debates and discussions.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had earlier indicated that the Assembly would meet in September following demands from the Opposition. He also challenged BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao to attend the session and participate in a debate on the government’s performance and the issues facing the state.

The session is likely to focus on major state issues, government schemes, development programmes, welfare measures, financial matters and matters raised by the Opposition. The exact number of sitting days and detailed business schedule are expected to be announced through the Assembly’s official calendar.
