Anti-Corruption Bureau Apprehends ALO (Accused Law Officer) in Telangana

Hyderabad: The sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) apprehended an Assistant Labour Officer in Nirmal district on Monday while accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000.
At approximately 1445 hours, the accused officer, K Saibaba, was caught by the ACB, Adilabad Unit, at his residence when he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs. 25,000 from the complainant Thalari Ganganna. Ganganna, a resident of Pedda Bellal Village in the same district, engaged his son (A-2) K Damodar to facilitate the transaction. The bribe was solicited in exchange for expediting the file related to the compensation approval for the death of Ganganna’s mother, Ms Thalari Raj avva, a registered laborer who passed away on August 21, 2023, according to an ACB statement.

The bribe amount was recovered from the possession of A-2, and chemical tests on A-2’s fingers yielded positive results.
The accused officers, Saibaba and Damodar, were being arrested and scheduled to be produced before the Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases Court at Karimnagar, as per the statement.
