According to police, the case involves an attempt to murder and organized crime, allegedly committed by Syed Aftab @ Affu (A-1) and Akbar Khan (A-2) in furtherance of their common intention.
The accused allegedly assaulted Syed Pashu with a knife over a dispute related to the payment of Rs. 2,100.
The offence took place on July 7, 2026, at about 12:40 am, in front of the main gate of House No. 4-25-1/7/F, Suleman Nagar, Chinthalmet, Attapur, Rajendranagar.
Police said A-1 allegedly stabbed Syed Pashu on the right side of his abdomen, causing grievous bleeding injuries.
Background of the Wage Dispute
Police said Syed Pashu and Syed Aftab @ Affu are residents of Suleman Nagar and have known each other for the last five years.
In May 2026, both travelled to Mumbai to work as goods carrier vehicle drivers through Sheikh Mobin, who employed them until June 2026.
After returning to Rajendranagar about one week before the incident, a dispute arose over Rs. 2,100 allegedly owed to Syed Pashu as pending wages by Sheikh Mobin, who reportedly paid workers Rs. 800 per day.
For the four days leading up to the incident, Syed Pashu repeatedly asked A-1 about the pending payment. According to police, A-1 told him he would speak to Sheikh Mobin and arrange the money. However, Syed Pashu allegedly insisted that since A-1 had taken him to Mumbai and helped him get the job, A-1 was responsible for ensuring the payment.
Sequence of Events Leading to the Attack
Police stated that on the night of July 6, 2026, Syed Pashu, using mobile number 6281478560, repeatedly called A-1 on mobile number 7569058XXX, allegedly abused him in filthy language, and demanded payment of Rs. 2,100.
Police alleged that A-1 asked Syed Pashu to come to his house. At about 11:00 pm, A-1 allegedly called Akbar Khan (A-2) and asked him to come to his house with the intention of killing Syed Pashu.
According to police, A-2 reached A-1’s house at about 12:00 midnight, and the two allegedly decided to kill Syed Pashu after becoming enraged by the alleged abusive language.
At about 12:40 am on July 7, 2026, Syed Pashu arrived near A-1’s house in an auto-rickshaw along with LW-3, LW-4, and two other friends.
Police said an argument broke out after Syed Pashu again demanded the Rs. 2,100.
As per the police version, A-2 allegedly took out a knife concealed inside his black jacket/shirt and attempted to stab Syed Pashu, but LW-2 and others intervened and stopped him.
Police further alleged that Syed Pashu then took out the knife he was carrying. Immediately, A-1 allegedly went inside his house, brought another knife, returned, picked up a quarrel, and stabbed Syed Pashu on the right side of his abdomen.
Police said Syed Pashu dropped the knife he was holding, after which Aftab allegedly picked it up, and both accused fled from the scene.
