A bomb threat triggered a major security alert at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad late on Sunday night after authorities received an email claiming that an international flight arriving from Riyadh was carrying an explosive device.

Following the threat, airport authorities, personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), the Bomb Disposal Squad, and other security agencies immediately activated emergency security protocols and closely monitored the situation.
After the aircraft landed safely at the airport, all passengers were evacuated as a precautionary measure. Security personnel and members of the Bomb Disposal Squad then carried out a comprehensive and meticulous search of the aircraft.

Despite an extensive inspection, no bomb, explosive material, or any suspicious object was found on board the flight. Authorities later declared the threat to be a hoax and stated that the email appeared to be an attempt to create panic and disrupt normal operations.
Following the incident, the RGIA Police registered a case against an unidentified individual and launched an investigation to identify and trace the person responsible for sending the threatening email.
Officials said that after completing all necessary security checks, flight operations at the airport continued as normal and there was no disruption to arrivals or departures.
