In a shocking incident at a wedding function in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, six individuals were injured during a heated brawl triggered by a shortage of rasgullas, as reported by the Press Trust of India. The altercation unfolded in the Shamsabad area around midnight on Sunday.
The injured parties have been promptly admitted to the hospital, where their condition is reported to be stable, according to local law enforcement. Anil Sharma, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Shamsabad police station, confirmed the incident, stating, “Six people sustained injuries in the incident, and a case has been registered. The individuals receiving medical treatment are now out of danger.”
Further details from the police reveal that the brawl originated from a comment made about the scarcity of rasgullas during the wedding function. The seemingly innocuous remark quickly escalated into a full-blown argument, resulting in the unfortunate injuries.
This incident echoes a similar occurrence in October last year when a fatal altercation ensued over a shortage of sweets at a wedding in Etmadpur. Authorities are urging heightened awareness and security measures at public events to prevent such conflicts from escalating into violence.
