Chandrayaan-3 Moon landing live updates: check status, soft landing time, livestreaming details

The landing will be broadcast live by DD National TV and streamed online by ISRO on its website, YouTube channel and Facebook. 

Chennai: Indian space agency ISRO is all set to attempt Chandrayaan-3 mission’s soft landing on Moon’s south pole in few hours. Here’s all latest updates you need to know.

ISRO is set to land its Vikram Lander on the Moon’s south pole later in the day. While the entire nation is praying for the success of Chandrayaan-3, the entire world’s eyes are also on the Indian lunar mission.  

ISRO, in the latest mission update, said that Chandrayaan-3 is on schedule and systems are undergoing regular checks. It will begin live telecast of its landing operations at 5:20 PM IST on Wednesday, ISRO said.  

Successful landing will make India only the fourth country in the world to achieve the feat of lunar landing after the United States, Russia, and China. However, India will become the first country in the world to land on the lunar south pole.

Planned date of soft landing: August 23, 2023 (Wednesday) 

Planned time of soft landing: 6:04 pm (IST) 

Live telecast of operations: From 5:20 pm (IST)
