CM Revanth Reddy Unveils Mega Development Plans for Kodangal, 2,300-Acre Industrial Park Announced

CM Revanth Reddy says Kodangal will become an education and industrial hub with a 2,300-acre industrial park, new colleges, irrigation projects, and major infrastructure development in Telangana.

A Revanth Reddy on Friday said that he is working for 18 hours a day for the development of Telangana and announced that Kodangal Assembly constituency will be transformed into a major “Education and Industries” hub.

Addressing a public meeting in Kodangal after laying foundation stones for Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple and other development works, the Chief Minister said leading Indian industries are setting up units in Kodangal and major infrastructure, education, irrigation, and industrial projects are being taken up in the constituency.

The Chief Minister appealed to people and public representatives to set aside political differences and work together to develop Kodangal as a role model for the country.

CM Revanth Reddy Says He Works 18 Hours Daily for Telangana Development

Addressing the gathering, CM Revanth Reddy said Telangana is moving towards becoming a top state in development with the support of all sections of society.

He said he has been working at least 18 hours every day to achieve the goals set by the People’s Government for the robust development of Telangana.

The Chief Minister stated that Telangana is witnessing fast-track development across sectors.

Kodangal to Become Major Education Hub in Telangana

Highlighting development initiatives in Kodangal Assembly constituency, the Chief Minister announced that several educational institutions are being established in the region, including:

  • Medical College
  • Engineering College
  • ATC Center
  • Nursing College
  • Polytechnic College
  • Sainik School

According to the CM, the educational hub development will be completed within one and a half years.

He said steps are being taken to ensure students from across Telangana come to Kodangal for higher education.

2,300-Acre Industrial Park Coming Up at Lagacherla

The Chief Minister announced that an industrial park spread across 2,300 acres is being developed at Lagacherla.

He also said a major roadway directly connecting the airport to Kodangal is being constructed.

According to CM Revanth Reddy:

  • 90 percent of the Vikarabad railway line work has already been completed
  • Construction of a cement industry will begin within the next six months
  • India’s leading industries are establishing units in Kodangal

The CM said these projects would generate employment and livelihood opportunities for local residents.

CM Directs Officials to Complete Kodangal Works by December 2027

The Chief Minister instructed officials to complete all development works in Kodangal by December 2027.

He appealed to local body representatives to focus on village development without political differences.

“Let us transform Kodangal into a land of gold piece,” the Chief Minister said during the public meeting.

Narayanpet-Kodangal Lift Irrigation Scheme to Be Completed in 1.5 Years

On irrigation development, CM Revanth Reddy directed officials to complete the Narayanpet-Kodangal Lift Irrigation Scheme within one and a half years.

The project aims to bring Krishna River water to Kodangal region.

The Chief Minister said lands in Kodangal must receive irrigation water from the Krishna River.

V Srihari was assigned the responsibility of completing land acquisition for the project within one month.

The CM assured that funds would be sanctioned and all hurdles in completing the irrigation project would be resolved.

CM Recalls Past Difficulties Faced by Kodangal Residents

The Chief Minister recalled that earlier, residents of Kodangal had to travel to neighboring Vikarabad and Pargi for education.

He said the Telangana government is now working extensively to improve education and healthcare access for poor families.

Explaining geographical challenges, CM Revanth Reddy said Kodangal is located in one of the highest-altitude regions in Telangana, making water availability difficult.

He said earlier only red gram cultivation was possible and paddy cultivation was nearly impossible due to lack of irrigation.

The Chief Minister added that roads have now been constructed connecting every thanda and Gram Panchayat in the constituency.

CM Revanth Reddy Remembers Kodangal Support During Elections

The Chief Minister remembered the support extended by Kodangal people during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, which helped him win from the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency.

“The sapling you planted in 2009 has now grown into a mighty tree. It is now your responsibility to protect and nurture it,” CM Revanth Reddy said.

“With the blessings of the people, I have assumed the office of Chief Minister of Telangana,” he added.

Welfare Schemes and Temple Development Highlighted

The Chief Minister listed several welfare schemes implemented by the Telangana government, including:

  • Farm loan waivers
  • Distribution of fine-quality rice
  • Rythu Bharosa
  • Indiramma Housing
  • Ration cards
  • Fee reimbursement

CM Revanth Reddy also highlighted the importance of Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Kodangal, calling it the “Tirupati of the Poor.”

He said the temple serves devotees not only from Telangana but also neighboring Karnataka and Maharashtra.

According to the CM, Kodangal Assembly constituency represents a unique combination of “Gudi” (Temple) and “Gadi” (Seat of Power), which together are driving development and prosperity.

Temple Projects and Officials Present at Kodangal Meeting

The Chief Minister recalled that former MLA Nandaram Suryanarayana played a key role in the development of Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple by securing funds from Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

He said the groundbreaking ceremony was conducted at a Muhurtham suggested by Agama Shastra advisor Sundaravaradacharyulu.

The Chief Minister proposed naming one of the pilgrim guest houses after Sundaravaradacharyulu.

He also announced the construction of:

  • Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Doulthabad
  • Venugopala Swamy Temple in Kosgi
