Hyderabad: Sameer Waliullah, Hyderabad District Congress Committee (DCC), announced that the Congress party is gearing up to initiate its campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, particularly focusing on the Hyderabad Parliamentary constituency.

“In a recent meeting, Chief Minister and PCC President A Revanth Reddy expressed the Congress party’s ambition to secure victory in all 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana, including Hyderabad,” stated Sameer Waliullah in a media statement on Wednesday.

Emphasizing the party’s strong position in Hyderabad, Sameer Waliullah anticipates a historic win with a significant majority. He highlighted the favorable response to Congress in the Old City during the recent Assembly elections, where the party secured over 93,000 votes within the Hyderabad Parliamentary constituency. Sameer Waliullah emphasized the confidence that the Congress government, under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, instills in the party’s ability to win the Hyderabad seat from the AIMIM. Acknowledging competition among Congress aspirants for the Hyderabad seat, Sameer Waliullah confirmed his interest in contesting and expressed faith in the party’s selection process. He highlighted an upcoming meeting with leaders from all Assembly constituencies to finalize the campaign strategy.
