Congress unveils third list of 16 candidates for coming Telangana Assembly election

Hyderabad: The Congress party on Monday night released its third list of 16 candidates for the forthcoming Telangana Legislative Assembly elections, scheduled to be held on November 30.

In a significant move, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President A Revanth Reddy will contest from the Kamareddy constituency, pitted against BRS President and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

The newly announced Congress list features prominent leaders, including G Vivek Venkatswamy (Chennur) (SC), who recently switched from the BJP, former MLA Enugu Ravinder Reddy (Banswada), and former minister Mohammad Ali Shabbir (Nizamabad Urban). Shabbir Ali was relocated from Kamareddy to Nizamabad to make way for Revanth Reddy.

Furthermore, there have been a few changes in candidates from the previous lists. Ade Gajender has replaced Vannela Ashok in Boath, and Tudi Megha Reddy has taken the place of G Chinna Reddy in Wanaparthy.

With this announcement, the Congress party has now declared candidates for 114 out of 119 seats. The Kothagudem seat has been allocated to the CPI as part of the alliance. However, seats in Miryalaguda, Suryapet, Tungaturthi, and Charminar remain pending.
