Drunk Driver Hits Pedestrian in Rajendranagar, Hit-and-Run Case Registered
A suspected hit-and-run incident in Hyderabad's Rajendranagar area on Monday morning left a pedestrian seriously injured after a speeding car allegedly hit him while he was crossing the road.

Hyderabad: A suspected hit-and-run incident in Hyderabad’s Rajendranagar area on Monday morning left a pedestrian seriously injured after a speeding car allegedly hit him while he was crossing the road.
The incident reportedly occurred near the Rajendranagar DCP office, where a red Skoda Rapid allegedly struck the pedestrian at high speed.
According to eyewitnesses, local residents caught the driver immediately after the accident. They claimed that the driver was allegedly heavily intoxicated and was reportedly unable to properly state his own name.
A woman who was travelling in the car reportedly refused to provide any information about the incident.

Following the incident, Rajendranagar police reached the spot and took the driver into custody. Police said that during preliminary questioning, the accused allegedly attempted to mislead investigators.
The seriously injured pedestrian was immediately shifted to Osmania Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
Police have registered a hit-and-run case in connection with the incident and launched a further investigation. Authorities are examining all aspects of the accident.
