Hyderabad: Bushra Sultana, Assistant Civil Supplies Officer of Mehdipatnam Circle, has issued an urgent appeal to ration card holders in Hyderabad and Telangana to collect their three-month ration before April 30, 2026, which is the final deadline set by the government.

She urged citizens not to miss this opportunity and to complete all formalities, including e-KYC, to avail benefits.

3-Month Ration Distribution in Hyderabad: 80% Completed

As per official information:

  • The Telangana government has provided three months’ ration in April 2026
  • In Mehdipatnam Circle, around 80% of beneficiaries have already collected ration
  • The remaining 20% are yet to collect their share

Officials clarified that ration distribution started earlier in April and will end on April 30, 2026.

April 30 Deadline for Ration Collection Across Telangana

The Hyderabad ration last date April 30 applies to all circles:

  • Citizens can collect ration from any nearby fair price shop
  • About 8 days remain (as per the appeal timing)
  • People should not assume they can collect it next month

Bushra Sultana emphasized that many citizens are unaware of the deadline and are delaying collection.

Strict Warning Against Selling or Diverting Ration

The officer issued a serious warning:

  • Selling ration is illegal
  • Ration cards will be cancelled if misuse is detected
  • Criminal action will be taken against those involved in illegal diversion
  • Fair price shop dealers involved may face suspension and legal action

Responsibility of House Owners and Vehicle Owners

Authorities also highlighted:

  • Illegal storage and diversion of ration may happen in rented houses or vehicles
  • If caught, property owners and vehicle owners will also face criminal action
  • Lack of awareness will not be accepted as an excuse

e-KYC Mandatory: 40% Yet to Complete

Officials stressed that:

  • Nearly 40% of ration card holders in Mehdipatnam have not completed e-KYC
  • Citizens must complete e-KYC immediately to continue receiving benefits
