HYDRA’s Action Plan: Massive Survey to Tackle Illegal Encroachments on Government Land in Hyderabad

HYDRA officials are expected to conduct inspections in the Medchal district to identify illegal constructions on government land. The district holds approximately 5,195 acres of government land, according to recent reports, which is now documented in HYDRA’s records.

Hyderabad: An action plan by HYDRA has been prepared to survey government lands and address illegal encroachments. According to sources, district revenue officials have been directed to prepare for a comprehensive inspection of government lands. During these inspections, Tehsildars, Revenue Inspectors (RIs), and survey officers will be present as per the issued orders.

In the Medchal-Malkajgiri district, details of government lands in the Medchal, Malkajgiri, Uppal, Quthbullapur, and Kukatpally constituencies have already been shared with HYDRA officials. This includes details of government lands allocated for public offices and other properties. Revenue officials are actively gathering information on existing constructions on these lands.

Detailed breakdowns of government land in various areas of the district include 700 acres in Balanagar, 420 acres in Shamirpet, 425 acres in Dundigal, 900 acres in Medipally, 500 acres in Ghatkesar, 400 acres in Kapra, 417 acres in Keesara, 600 acres in Quthbullapur, 360 acres in Bachupally, 333 acres in Uppal, 113 acres in Malkajgiri, and 37 acres in Medchal.

To pinpoint illegal constructions on government land, HYDRA teams will conduct surveys to assess and document the number and details of existing structures. Revenue officials, already possessing preliminary data on these constructions, will re-evaluate under HYDRA’s supervision. Following the inspection, notices are expected to be issued for identified illegal encroachments.
