Joint Islamic-Arab Summit Urges Immediate Gaza Ceasefire, Blames Israel for Palestinian Crimes
In Riyadh on Saturday, Saudi Arabia and Muslim nations jointly called for an immediate halt to military operations in Gaza, placing responsibility for “crimes” against Palestinians on Israel.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman led the summit, gathering Arab and Muslim leaders, including Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
The summit condemned the ongoing conflict in Palestine, labeling it a “barbaric war,” with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas describing it as a “genocidal war” and urging the United States to end Israeli aggression.
Iranian President Raisi praised Hamas for resisting Israel and called for Islamic countries to impose sanctions on Israel.
