He expressed his willingness to discuss the electricity scenario in Karnataka and announced that he would be available at Gandhi Bhavan until 6 pm today, waiting for KCR and KTR for the debate. George affirmed his readiness to negotiate anywhere for the discussion.
Addressing the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday, the minister criticized KCR for allegedly spreading misinformation about the electricity situation in Karnataka. He emphasized that Karnataka is supplying electricity to its farmers, overcoming any challenges that may arise. George acknowledged that the BRS Government provides 24-hour electricity, attributing the achievement to the efforts of the previous Congress government.
Highlighting the implementation of 90 percent of Congress’ promises in Karnataka, George mentioned Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, during which he interacted with numerous people, and stated that all appeals received were included in the manifesto and subsequently implemented.
George credited Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi for their contributions to the welfare of the people, mentioning the 5 guarantees given by the Congress government in Karnataka, which were implemented in the first cabinet meeting.
Under the Anna Bhagya scheme, George mentioned the provision of 10 kg of free rice to the poor. George expressed confidence in the strengthening of the Congress party nationally under the leadership of AICC Chief Mallikarjuna Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and Rahul Gandhi.
AICC Media Incharge Ajay Kumar criticized KCR for allegedly spreading false information in Telangana, questioning why the Telangana government is purchasing power from Chhattisgarh instead of producing it locally.
Kumar claimed that the Telangana government owes Rs 3,000 crore rupees to Karnataka Discoms and accused KCR and KTR of spreading lies about the current situation in Karnataka. He asserted that the Karnataka Minister is ready for discussions and will wait until 6 pm today for a debate on the current issue.
