Kavitha Accuses Revanth Reddy of Trying to Take Credit for Students’ Success

Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Sena (TRS) president K. Kavitha on Sunday accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of attempting to take credit for the success of a 36-day student agitation, claiming that the students’ struggle had forced the Central government to seek the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
In a video statement, Kavitha congratulated students and unemployed youth, describing the development as a “great victory” achieved through their sustained struggle.

She welcomed the proposal to allow 21-year-old youths to enter Parliament but questioned the credibility of the government, alleging that it had failed to fulfil promises related to two lakh government jobs, a job calendar, unemployment allowance, fee reimbursement and financial support for Osmania University.
Kavitha said that merely organising symbolic rallies would not erase the questions being raised over the government’s performance.
She warned that if the Congress government failed to fulfil its promises made to students and young people, the same students and youth would eventually vote it out of power.
