KTR criticises Revanth Reddy and Congress’s performance

Former Minister and BRS Working President K T Rama Rao (KTR) has compared Revanth Reddy to Telangana's Eknath Shinde.

Hyderabad: Former Minister and BRS Working President K T Rama Rao (KTR) has compared Revanth Reddy to Telangana’s Eknath Shinde.

Addressing the leaders from the Hyderabad and Secunderabad Parliament constituencies at Telangana Bhavan, here on Saturday, KTR stated that post-Parliament elections, Congress and the BJP might align forces, and Revanth Reddy could become Telangana’s Eknath Shinde.

Accusing Revanth Reddy of aligning with the BJP and likening him to a “mini-Modi,” KTR highlighted the inconsistency in Revanth Reddy’s stance on Adani, stating that he once criticised Adani but is now seen collaborating with him at the WEF in Switzerland.

Challenging Revanth Reddy to focus on delivering promises within the first 100 days, KTR dismissed his statements and urged him to concentrate on fulfilling commitments. KTR questioned the need to bury the BRS party and reminded them that the party has faced numerous leaders like Revanth Reddy in its longstanding journey.

KTR called for people to withhold current bill payments until free electricity was provided as promised under the Gruha Jyothi scheme. He urged citizens to send their bills to Sonia Gandhi’s residence, emphasising the need for Congress to fulfil campaign promises promptly.

Demanding the immediate implementation of the Maha Lakshmi scheme and the disbursal of Rs. 2500 to every woman in the state, KTR warned the Congress government against evading promises, asserting that the BRS Party would hold them accountable.

Clarifying that there would be no alliance between the BJP and BRS, KTR criticised Union Minister Kishan Reddy, questioning his contributions to Telangana compared to KCR’s initiatives. KTR also highlighted the delay in the BJP’s completion of Uppal and Amberpet flyovers, contrasting it with BRS’s construction of 36 flyovers.

Expressing gratitude to leaders and party workers for their efforts in the BRS party’s victory in Hyderabad, KTR asserted that only the BRS has the power to challenge the BJP in the state.

Despite the recent election results being a setback, KTR reassured that the BRS party would stand by the people. He criticised the adverse effects of the Congress rule in Telangana within a short period, citing issues in various sectors and promising to hold the Congress party accountable for their extensive promises.
