More leaders to join Congress soon, says MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy
Congress MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today reacted on the resignation of his younger brother Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy from the BJP.
Hyderabad: Congress MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today reacted on the resignation of his younger brother Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy from the BJP.
Stating that he was not aware of the announcement of the resignation of his brother, he said more such leaders like his brother Rajagopal Reddy would join the Congress party in the days to come as the people of the State made up their mind to experience a change in the State.
Speaking to media persons in Nalgonda, Venkat Reddy thanked the people of Nalgonda for supporting them. “I am indebted to the people here,” he said.
Stating that the Congress has won the Assembly elections in Karnataka State and added that the Congress State government was implementing the promises made to the people in Karnataka.
Venkat Reddy said a meeting of the screening committee of the party would be held on Wednesday to release the second list of the party candidates.
He said the list would be released on Thursday while noting that they are facing difficulties in declaring the party candidates in six assembly constituencies due to competition from more number of the party leaders.
Commenting on the collapse of Medigadda barrage, he reminded that he had written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking an inquiry into the alleged corruption in the Kaleswaram project.
He said his party was planning to allot four assembly seats to the Left parties in the upcoming assembly elections.
He expressed confidence that the Congress would get 70 to 80 assembly seats. On the occasion, Venkat Reddy lashed out at State minister KTR for his criticism of Rahul Gandhi. Stating that Rahul Gandhi does not have own house, he asked KTR about the value of his current assets?
