More Transfers in Telangana: IAS & IPS Officers Assume New Roles

All IAS & IPS officers have been instructed to assume their new responsibilities immediately and report their compliance accordingly.

Hyderabad: In a move aimed at optimizing the administrative apparatus and enhancing governance during the period of assembly elections in the state, the Governor of Telangana has issued orders for a series of transfers and postings of both IAS (Indian Administrative Service) and IPS (Indian Police Service) officers, effective immediately.

IAS Officer Transfers:

  1. Bharati Hollikeri, an IAS officer from the 2010 batch who previously held the position of Special Secretary & Commissioner in the WCD & SC (Women and Child Development and Scheduled Castes) Department, has been transferred and appointed as the Collector & District Magistrate of Rangareddy. This move comes with the relief of Pratima Singh, a 2019-batch IAS officer, from her duties as Collector & District Magistrate of Rangareddy.
  2. Gowtham Potru, a 2015-batch IAS officer who served as the CEO of the Society of Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP), is now the Collector & District Magistrate of Medchal-Malkajgiri. This change relieves Abhishek Augustya, a 2020-batch IAS officer, from his role in Medchal-Malkajgiri.
  3. Zendage Hanumant Kondiba, an IAS officer from the 2016 batch who was previously the Special Commissioner of Agriculture, has been transferred to serve as the Collector & District Magistrate of Yadadri-Bhongir. Veera Reddy, a non-cadre SGDC (State Government Departmental Council) officer, has been relieved of his responsibilities in Yadadri-Bhongir.
  4. Ashish Sangwan, another 2016-batch IAS officer who was the Special Officer in the Office of the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA), is now the Collector & District Magistrate of Nirmal.
  5. Sunil Sharma, a senior IAS officer from the 1990 batch, who previously held the role of Special Chief Secretary to the Government in the Energy Department, has been transferred to the position of Special Chief Secretary to the Government in the Excise, Commercial Taxes & Endowments Department. This move relieves Santhi Kumari, another IAS officer, from her duties in the Excise, Commercial Taxes & Endowments Department.
  6. Dr. Jyoti Buddha Prakash, an IAS officer from the 2002 batch who was serving as the Secretary to Government in the Industries & Commerce Department, has been transferred and appointed as the Commissioner of Prohibition & Excise, thus relieving him of his previous responsibilities.
  7. Dr. Christina Z. Chongthu, a 2001-batch IAS officer who held the position of Secretary to Government & Commissioner of the Tribal Welfare Department, has been transferred and appointed as the Commissioner of Commercial Taxes.
  8. A. Vani Prasad, a 1995-batch IAS officer who served as the Director General of EPTRI, is now the Principal Secretary to Government in the Transport Department, with the relief of B. Vijiendra, an IAS officer, from his previous role.

All IAS officers have been instructed to assume their new responsibilities immediately and report their compliance accordingly.

IPS Officer Transfers:

In parallel, several IPS officers have also witnessed a change in their roles:

  1. Ambar Kishore Jha, an IPS officer from the 2009 batch who was previously the Joint Commissioner of Police (Administration) in Rachakonda, has been transferred and appointed as the Commissioner of Police in Warangal.
  2. Kalmeshwar Shingenavar, an IPS officer from the 2012 batch who served as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crimes) in Cyberabad, is now the Commissioner of Police in Nizamabad.
  3. Chennuri Rupesh, an IPS officer from the 2017 batch who was the Deputy Commissioner of Police in the South East/West Zone of Hyderabad City, has been transferred to serve as the Superintendent of Police in Sangareddy.
  4. Ch. Sindhu Sharma, an IPS officer from the 2014 batch who held the position of Commandant of the 4th Battalion, TSSP (Telangana State Special Police), Mamnoor, has been transferred to serve as the Superintendent of Police in Kamareddy.
  5. Sunpreet Singh, an IPS officer from the 2011 batch who previously served as the Assistant Inspector General of Police (Law & Order) in the office of the Director General of Police, Telangana, has been transferred to serve as the Superintendent of Police in Jagityal.
  6. Harshavardhan, an IPS officer from the 2018 batch who was the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Traffic-I, Cyberabad, has been transferred to serve as the Superintendent of Police in Mahbubnagar.
  7. Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath, an IPS officer from the 2018 batch who was the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Peddapally, has been transferred to serve as the Superintendent of Police in Nagarkurnool.
  8. Ritiraj, an IPS officer from the 2018 batch who previously served as the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Cyber Crimes, Cyberabad, is now the Superintendent of Police in Jogulamba Gadwal District.
  9. Dr. Patil Sangram Singh Ganapatrao, an IPS officer from the 2015 batch who held the position of Superintendent of Police (Vigilance) in TSRTC (Telangana State Road Transport Corporation), Hyderabad, has been transferred to serve as the Superintendent of Police in Mahbubabad.
  10. Yogesh Gautham, an IPS officer from the 2018 batch who served as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Administration) in Cyberabad, is now the Superintendent of Police in Narayanpet.
  11. Khare Kiran Prabhakar, an IPS officer from the 2017 batch who was the Deputy Commissioner of Police in the South Zone of Hyderabad City, has been transferred to serve as the Superintendent of Police in Jayashankar Bhupalapally.
  12. B.K. Rahul Hegde, an IPS officer from the 2014 batch who held the position of Deputy Commissioner of Police in Traffic-1, Hyderabad City, is now the Superintendent of Police in Suryapet.

All IPS officers have been instructed to assume their new roles immediately and report their compliance accordingly.
