Hyderabad: The Narsingi Police on Saturday arrested a 26-year-old man accused of molesting a woman at Alkapur Township under the Narsingi police station limits. The accused, identified as Vadde Nagaraju, allegedly followed the woman while she was carrying her two-year-old child and lifted her dress before fleeing the spot. Police registered a case under Sections 78 and 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and arrested the accused after an investigation.

Incident Took Place at Alkapur Township on May 14
According to police, the incident occurred on May 14 at around 1.30 pm in Alkapur Township within the limits of Narsingi Police.
The victim had gone to pick up her two-year-old child from a nearby playschool in Alkapur Township.
While returning home carrying the child, the accused, Vadde Nagaraju, allegedly followed her from behind, lifted her dress, and fled from the area.
Woman Raised Alarm, CCTV Footage Went Viral
Police said the woman immediately raised an alarm after the incident.
However, the accused managed to escape from the spot.
CCTV footage related to the incident later went viral on social media platforms, drawing public attention.
Narsingi Police Register Case Under BNS Sections 78 and 79
Based on a complaint received on May 19, the Narsingi Police registered a case under Sections 78 and 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Police launched an investigation and formed special teams to identify and trace the accused.
Accused Arrested on Saturday
Following the investigation, police arrested Vadde Nagaraju on Saturday.
Officials said the accused is a resident of Puppalaguda and a native of Mahbubnagar district.
Police further stated that Nagaraju has no prior criminal record and had not been involved in similar offences earlier.
