Singareni Aims for Global Standards, Says CMD Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti on Telangana Formation Day

Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti, IAS, on Tuesday called upon employees to work with dedication and commitment to transform Singareni into an enterprise of international standards, stating that such an achievement would bring greater recognition and pride to Telangana.

Hyderabad: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti, IAS, on Tuesday called upon employees to work with dedication and commitment to transform Singareni into an enterprise of international standards, stating that such an achievement would bring greater recognition and pride to Telangana.

Addressing Telangana Formation Day celebrations at Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad, Dr. Jyoti said the growth and success of the company depend on every employee performing their duties efficiently. He stressed that Singareni must remain competitive in the market by enhancing productivity, improving operational quality, and making optimal use of modern technology and machinery.

Highlighting the company’s expansion plans, Dr. Jyoti noted that Singareni has already extended its footprint beyond Telangana and into other states. He expressed confidence that the organisation would gradually establish a presence at the international level through sustained growth and innovation.

Paying tribute to the sacrifices that led to the formation of Telangana, he said the state has made remarkable progress since its inception and has created significant employment opportunities across various sectors. He added that Singareni continues to play a crucial role in the state’s economic development.

The CMD emphasised the need to increase production and productivity in both opencast and underground mines while maintaining high standards of operational excellence. Prior to the celebrations, he paid floral tributes to Telangana Thalli, the Martyrs’ Memorial, and Professor K. Jayashankar before unfurling the National Flag.

As part of the celebrations, employees who rendered outstanding service to the organisation were honoured. The award recipients included L. Srinivas, AGM (Purchase), Y. Lakshminarayana, MV Driver, and D. Rudramma, an outsourcing employee.

The event was attended by Director (Personnel & Finance) Gowtham Potru, General Manager (Coordination & Marketing) T. Srinivas, senior officials, employees, and staff members of Singareni.
