Parents Allege Ragging by Senior Students
The victim’s father, Balaram, alleged that the college management had assured them that only first-year students would be present on the campus. However, he claimed that second-year students were also allowed, which may have led to ragging.
“My son was not a coward who would take such a step. The college management must answer,” the father said.
The parents strongly believe that mental harassment and ragging could have driven their son to take the extreme step.

The grieving parents alleged that:
- They were not informed immediately about their son’s death
- The body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital without their knowledge
- They were told the student died by hanging from a window, but were not shown proper evidence
They accused both the college management and police of failing to provide clear answers.
