Take steps for strengthen of Anganwadi Centers: Seethakka tells officials

Minister for Women and Child Welfare Seethakka directed the officials concerned to take adequate steps for improving the infrastructure in all Anganwadi Centers in Telangana and strengthen them further.

Hyderabad: Minister for Women and Child Welfare Seethakka directed the officials concerned to take adequate steps for improving the infrastructure in all Anganwadi Centers in Telangana and strengthen them further.

The Minister held a review meeting with officials at the Secretariat here on Wednesday and asked them that steps should be taken to provide basic facilities and improve standards in every Anganwadi Centre across the Telangana State.

“Special care should be taken for the elderly persons and their status should be checked from time to time,” she said.

During the meeting, the Minister also suggested that all the Anganwadi Centers in Telangana should be designed in a single model, and it should be mandatory to have a facility of toilet in every Anganwadi centre in the State.

Women and Child Welfare department Secretary Vakati Karuna, Director Nirmala Kanthi Wesley, Disabled Welfare department Director Shailaja and other senior officials were present in the meeting.
