Telangana CM KCR announces plans to inaugurate SRLIP after upcoming elections
KCR emphasized the need for maturity in democracy, highlighting that India is yet to fully achieve this, contrasting with developed nations where democratic maturity prevailed.
Bhadradri Kothagudem (Telangana), Nov 5 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister and BRS President K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) stated on Sunday that he will personally inaugurate the Sita Rama Lift Irrigation Project (SRLIP) following a victorious outcome in the forthcoming elections scheduled for November 30.
During an election campaign meeting titled “Praja Aashirvada Sabha” held in Kothagudem within this district, KCR revealed that the SRLIP project has achieved 70 per cent completion. He emphasized that the BRS party would secure power for a third term and ensure the project’s successful completion, culminating in his personal inauguration.
KCR emphasized the need for maturity in democracy, highlighting that India is yet to fully achieve this, contrasting with developed nations where democratic maturity prevailed.
Criticizing the Congress and BJP, KCR questioned their accomplishments during the 75 years of Independence. He pointed out that during the 10 years of the BRS regime, significant developments were made in education, health, transportation, roads, drinking water, and electricity sectors.
Furthermore, he noted that Singareni, a state-owned coal mining company, has reported profits with a turnover of more than 33,000 crore, while it faced losses and had a turnover of only Rs. 11,000 crores during Congress’s governance. KCR highlighted the increase in compensation for the families of deceased Singareni workers from Rs one lakh to Rs. 10 lakhs under the BRS government.
Kothagudem, now a district, is a result of the state of Telangana and has a medical college. The government has granted land titles (pattas) for 13,500 acres of podu lands in this constituency. Additionally, the government has extended house pattas to 22,000 households, demonstrating that projects which couldn’t be initiated during the previous 50 years were accomplished during the 10-year BRS regime.
KCR urged voters to consider the character of the candidates and their party’s principles before casting their votes. He encouraged the people to vote for Vanama Venkateswararao with a significant majority.
