Telangana government announces Milad un Nabi holiday

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has announced a holiday for Milad un Nabi, which commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammed.

According to the 2023 Telangana State Portal Calendar, this holiday is scheduled for Thursday, September 28, and is categorized as a ‘General Holiday.’

It’s worth noting that the date may change based on the sighting of the Moon, as the Islamic calendar depends on crescent sightings to determine the start of each month, including Rabi’ al-awwal, the third month.

Therefore, the Milad un Nabi holiday in Telangana is subject to alteration, but as of now, it is set for September 28, 2023.
