Telangana Munugode MLA submits resignation to Assembly Speaker

Hyderabad: Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy, who announced his resignation from the Congress party few days ago, met Telangana Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy here on Monday and submitted his resignation letter in ‘Speaker format’ to the latter.
In a letter to the Speaker, he said “I hereby tender my resignation of my seat in the House with effect from August 8.”
Reddy, later talking to media after submitting his resignation letter to Pocharam Srinivas Reddy at his chamber in the assembly said his resignation was accepted by the Speaker.
When media persons again asked him whether his resignation is accepted, he shot back ”my resignation is accepted….Speaker confirmed it to me.”
