Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has made it clear that the Telangana government does not want disputes with neighbouring states over river water but seeks a permanent solution through dialogue and cooperation. He said Telangana’s priority is water for its people and farmers, not political confrontations.

The Chief Minister made these remarks while inaugurating the Suzen Medicare IV Fluids Manufacturing Unit at E-City in Raviryal, Maheshwaram mandal, Ranga Reddy district.
‘Do We Want Disputes or Water? Telangana Wants Water’
Addressing a public meeting, CM Revanth Reddy said that if given a choice between disputes and water, Telangana will always choose water. He stressed that river water issues should not be politicised and must be resolved through constructive talks, rather than prolonged legal battles.
He appealed to neighbouring states to work together in a spirit of cooperation, stating that sustainable development is possible only through mutual understanding.
Appeal to Andhra Pradesh on Krishna River Projects
The Chief Minister urged N. Chandrababu Naidu not to create hurdles for projects sanctioned during the undivided Andhra Pradesh era. He pointed out that projects such as:
- Palamuru–Ranga Reddy
- Kalwakurthy
- Dindi
- SLBC
- Bhima
- Nettempadu
are facing delays due to objections, leading to environmental clearances and funding issues, and increasing the financial burden on Telangana.
Permanent Solution Needed for Water Disputes
CM Revanth Reddy said Telangana wants a long-term and fair resolution to river water disputes. He emphasised that cooperation from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu is essential for regional growth.
He also highlighted the importance of Machilipatnam Port connectivity for landlocked Telangana and said permissions were sought for a 12-lane greenfield expressway and railway connectivity, which require neighbouring state cooperation.
Vision Telangana Rising 2047
The Chief Minister spoke about the state’s long-term development plan, stating that the Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Document has been released, with a focus on developing the state under CURE, PURE, and RARE frameworks.
He said Telangana aims to compete globally with regions like Germany, Japan, South Korea, and New York, and is actively promoting investments in IT, pharma, data centres, global capability centres, and manufacturing to generate employment.
Industrial Growth and Job Creation
Revanth Reddy said private investment is key to providing jobs for unemployed youth. Transparent policies have been framed to attract investors, and projects like Bharat Future City will significantly boost land values and economic activity.
He also praised the establishment of the IV fluids manufacturing unit using German technology, calling it a milestone for South India.
Call for Collective Responsibility
Concluding his address, the Chief Minister said Telangana’s development over the last 30 years has positioned Hyderabad as a global competitor. He urged all stakeholders to cooperate for the state’s comprehensive growth, stating that development is possible only with collective effort.
