Hyderabad: The Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TMREIS) has delivered a strong academic performance in the Intermediate Public Examinations 2026, securing the second position among residential educational societies in the state.

Announcing the results at Nampally, TMREIS President and Vice Chairman Mohammed Faheemuddin Qureshi, along with Minority Welfare Department Secretary B. Shafiullah, IFS, highlighted the consistent improvement in academic outcomes across its institutions.

TMREIS, which runs 204 junior colleges across Telangana, recorded a pass percentage of 81% in First Year Intermediate and 90% in Second Year Intermediate examinations.

Out of these institutions, 41 junior colleges achieved a 100% pass result, while 122 colleges registered over 80% pass rates, reflecting the system’s academic strength and student performance.

The society also reported outstanding individual achievements, with several students securing top ranks across streams. Among them, Shameem Nikhat from Jadcherla scored 468/470 in MPC (First Year), Ayesha Begum from Asifnagar secured 996/1000 in BiPC (Second Year), and Md. Raheman from Karimnagar achieved 997/1000 in Vocational MLT (Second Year).

Officials credited the results to the dedication of students, lecturers, and principals, along with the state government’s continued support for minority education through free academic and residential facilities.

TMREIS also operates 22 Centres of Excellence that provide free coaching for competitive examinations. According to officials, over 15,800 students have successfully qualified in various competitive exams and gained admission into premier institutions such as IITs, NITs, and medical colleges.

Calling the results a sign of “transformative progress,” officials said TMREIS will continue to expand opportunities and improve educational outcomes for minority students across Telangana.
