Woman murdered by husband in Amethi

Amethi: A 28-year-old woman was murdered allegedly by her husband with a sharp-edged weapon in Jagdishpur area of Amethi district here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here on Monday.

Police sources said that the blood soaked body of Sakeena Bano, a resident of Itraur village, was recovered from her house on Monday morning.

“Sakeena got married to Fariyaad Ali around seven years ago. The couple used to have altercation frequently due to perturbed Sakeena leaving the house along with her two children and went to her parents house,” they said.

Police sources said that Sakeena came back to her in-laws house after being persuaded by her family members two days back.

“On Monday morning when the children woke up they found the body of Sakeena with an injury mark on her neck. Fariyaad was not present on the spot and Sakeena’s mother has alleged that he killed her daughter,” they said.
