Mahabubnagar: A tragic incident occurred in Boyinipally village of Midjil mandal, where a three-year-old boy lost his life after accidentally falling into a pit dug for the installation of an electric pole. The deceased, identified as Siddharth, was the younger son of Ramakrishna and Lakshmi.
According to reports, the couple had gone out, leaving their son in the care of Ramakrishna’s mother. A deep pit had been dug in front of their house several days ago for setting up an electricity pole, but it was left uncovered. With the recent rains, the pit filled up with water, turning it into a potential death trap.

While playing outside, little Siddharth accidentally slipped and fell into the water-filled pit. Locals immediately rushed to rescue him and took him to the government hospital in Jadcherla. However, doctors declared him brought dead.
Residents of the area expressed anger over the negligence of the authorities and contractors responsible for leaving the pit open for days. The child’s father, Ramakrishna, lodged a complaint with the police, demanding strict action against those responsible for the careless handling of the work.
The heartbreaking incident has sparked outrage in the locality, with villagers urging officials to ensure that safety measures are followed in all public works to prevent such avoidable tragedies in the future.
