Cong attacks Centre over continuous fuel price hike

The reaction of Surjewala came after the petrol and diesel prices were hiked for the seventh time in eight days on Tuesday.

New Delhi: The Congress party on Tuesday launched a fresh attack at the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre over continuous hike in prices of petrol and diesel and termed it ”loot”.

“Fuel ‘loot’ continues. In eight days, prices of fuel increased by Rs 4.80 per litre,” Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said in a tweet in Hindi with the hashtag ‘Petrol diesel price hike’.

The reaction of Surjewala came after the petrol and diesel prices were hiked for the seventh time in eight days on Tuesday.

In Delhi now petrol costs Rs 100.21 as against Rs 99.41 per litre previously while diesel Rs 91.47 as against Rs 90.77 per litre.
