Ramadan begins in Saudi Arabia

Hyderabad: The crescent of Ramadan has been observed in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries. The sighting of the crescent has been officially confirmed, after which the month of Ramadan began in Saudi Arabia and other countries.

According to the official announcement in Saudi Arabia, Saturday, April 2 will be the first day of Ramadan.

Following the confirmation of the sighting of the month of Ramadan by Saudi Arabia, other countries besides the Gulf countries have also declared the first fast on Saturday.

These countries include Afghanistan, Albania, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belgium, Bolivia, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Chechnya, Denmark, Finland, Georgia, Hungary, Iceland, Iraq (Sunni follow the Saudis), Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Mauritania, Netherlands, Palestine, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Sudan, Sweden, Switzerland, Syria, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Tatarstan, Togo, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Includes Uzbekistan and Yemen.

With the onset of Ramadan, special prayers like Taraweeh prayers have been started in the mosques of these countries after Isha prayers. Taraweeh is also being arranged at Grand Mosque of Mecca and Masjid-e-Nabawi.
